# Compute: Munich infrastructure upgrade completed

<p class="">The infrastructure upgrade of our Munich zone (<b>DE-MUC-1</b>) has been successfully completed.</p><p class="">All Compute instances and customer workloads have been migrated from the previous Equinix MU3 data center to the new <b>Equinix MU4 facility</b>. The transition was carried out without disruption, and all services continue to operate normally on the new infrastructure.</p><p class="">The new environment provides a more modern and energy-efficient foundation, improving the long-term resilience and scalability of the Munich zone.

</figure></div><p class=""><br></p><p class=""><b>Block Storage support in DE-MUC-1 will follow shortly.</b> Once available, it will allow you to attach persistent volumes to your Compute instances and build more flexible, production-ready architectures directly in the Munich zone.</p><p class="">As always, throughout the migration process, <b>no customer data ever left the Exoscale network</b>.</p>
