# Exoscale obtains BSI C5 attestation

<p class="">Following the recent SOC 2 Type 2 attestation, Exoscale obtained its BSI C5 attestation this month solidifying its compliance for the German market and beyond.</p>

<p class="">C5, which stands for Cloud Computing Compliance Criteria Catalogue, was established by the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) in Germany. This German government-backed attestation scheme introduced in 2016 and recently updated provides an additional complement to ISO 27018 and other international cloud security standards.</p>

<p class="">As is most often the case, all of Exoscale's zones and products are fully covered under this framework and the attestation is available for download in the Compliance Center.</p>
