Compute: Munich infrastructure upgrade completed
The infrastructure upgrade of our Munich zone (DE-MUC-1) has been successfully completed.
All Compute instances and customer workloads have been migrated from the previous Equinix MU3 data center to the new Equinix MU4 facility. The transition was carried out without disruption, and all services continue to operate normally on the new infrastructure.
The new environment provides a more modern and energy-efficient foundation, improving the long-term resilience and scalability of the Munich zone.
Block Storage support in DE-MUC-1 will follow shortly. Once available, it will allow you to attach persistent volumes to your Compute instances and build more flexible, production-ready architectures directly in the Munich zone.
As always, throughout the migration process, no customer data ever left the Exoscale network.
